Were there sacrifices made in order for you to have a chance to chase your passion?
Perhaps my greatest sacrifice has been facing the disappointment of people who are important to me who would have preferred for me to lead a more conventional life and not pursue the life I feel destined to live; free, self directed and on my terms. Of course, the irony is that I have been supported and encouraged by equally important people who have allowed me to come to this realisation. For me it is not fate - it is hard work and dedication. You make your own luck.
What pushed you to place yourself out of your comfort zone?
The desire for growth and new experiences compelled me to step out of my comfort zone. I firmly believe that true progress lies beyond familiarity. Embracing challenges and overcoming them not only adds depth to my journey but also provides a profound sense of purpose in life.
Would you recommend people to chase their dreams even though it could be the road less traveled?
Without a doubt, embracing the road less traveled may present challenges, but it often unfolds unique opportunities and leads to a profoundly fulfilling journey. Pursuing your passion can be surprising; you’ll find unexpected doors opening for the better once you start following your dreams.
Has chasing your passion gotten you to a situation where you wanted to give up? If so, how did you persevere?
Certainly! There was a phase in my learning journey where I felt confident in my DJing abilities, but as I delved deeper, I realized there was much more to learn. Despite facing a plateau and moments of doubt, I continued by consistently showing up, celebrating small wins, and finding joy in the overall process.
What would be your message of inspiration to others who want to chase their dreams and passion like you?
Persist in pursuing your dreams, even amidst doubts or setbacks. View each challenge as an opportunity for growth. Consistently show up, celebrate small victories, and relish the joy derived from passionately chasing what inspires you. Your journey is uniquely yours- embrace it with determination and enthusiasm.
