5 ways to cool down during El Niño

El Nino season is here, which means dry spells and drought throughout the country. Here are 5 ways to cool down during El Nino season!



1. Stay Hydrated!

Water is your best friend. Drink lots of water throughout the day to keep your body cool.


2. Dress Appropriately

Wear loose, breathable clothing. Don't be afraid to show some skin! Take refreshing dips. Cool down by a nearby swimming pool, lake, or ocean. Enjoy a refreshing swim to lower your body temperature, and at the same time have some fun in the water!


3. Avoid Sun Exposure

Prevent your chances of overheating by hiding from the sun during the hottest hours of the day from 11am to 2pm.


4. Whip up a refreshing Hunnyshake!

Try our very own recipe to cool down and quench your thirst


Ingredients:

2 cups calamansi

¼ cup honey

¼ cup sugar

1 liter water


Instructions:

  1. Squeeze the calamansi. Make sure to remove all seeds.

  2. Add honey, sugar, and water to the calamansi juice.

  3. Mix well until the honey and sugar are fully dissolved.

  4. Serve the Hunnyshake chilled over ice.
